TERMS OF SERVICESHORT, BECAUSE THE DEAL IS SIMPLE
The deal, in plain sentences.
You buy hardware; you own it. The one subscription is optional and severable. Nothing below tries to claw any of that back.

01-05THE WHOLE OF IT
01The reservation
$100, charged today and held in full. It is a place in line, not a purchase contract - refundable any time, for any reason, in one click, until your kit is on its way. Reserved households buy first, at launch pricing.
02The hardware
When you buy it, you own it - no activation, no account required, no feature held hostage. Sixty days to return it in any condition, two years of warranty, and repairability documentation published for every part we ship.
03The software
The Core runs your home locally, forever. Updates are offered, never forced; declining one never breaks what already works. If Luma the company disappeared tomorrow, your house wouldn’t notice - that is a design requirement, and these terms can’t override it.
04The cloud
Month to month, cancel any time, nothing lost on the way out. Going off-grid severs the cloud; deleting the account
anonymises our records. We will never move a feature from the Core to the cloud to make the subscription harder to skip.
05The limits
A home is a real place, and Luma is an assistant in it, not a guardian of it. It offers, notices, and asks - it doesn’t replace smoke alarms, locks, or judgment. Doors and locks never act without a person; that rule is hardware, not policy, and it doesn’t bend for these terms either.
